Sigils of Trouble Sleeping

A folded book lists the troubles I have with sleep and pairs them with detail illustrations of bed linens. These were used to design sigils, or runes, on the interior side.

Historically, sigils were used to cast spells, representing monograms of spirits’ names; in more modern use, they are shorthand abstractions that represent statements of intention. Hidden in the folds of the book, these are meant to ward off each source of trouble.

The transitional nature of magic echoes the transition into sleep.
